Fire damages Superior Truck Body Shop in Concord

CONCORD ó Fire heavily damaged a body shop on Bogle Street early this morning.
Firefighters were called to Superior Truck Body Shop at 3318 Bogle St. on Wednesday when a neighbor reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the roof at 6:35 a.m.
The first truck arrived on the scene at 6:39 a.m. In all, 30 firefighters responded. The center bay suffered the heaviest damage, but smoke and water damage extended throughout the building.
Cabarrus EMS and Cabarrus Rescue were on standby to assist with any medical emergencies.
Superior Truck Body Shop is a family-run business that has been in that location for 24 years. The six-employee business works on trucks, trailers and RVs. No one was there at the time of the fire. No injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
