Police seize forty marijuana plants

Authorities seized more than 40 marijuana plants, rifles, hash and non-tax-paid liquor and arrested eight people following a monthlong investigation.
The suspects involved were taken into custody during a “round-up” operation Friday.
While investigating marijuana-growing operations in several Rowan County locations, detectives of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and the Salisbury Police Department searched four Rowan homes, resulting in the seizure of the marijuana plants.
The plants were in various stages of harvest.
The following were charged:
– Thomas Lynn Walser, Vickie Foster Walser and Cody Odell Walser, all of 186 Beechwood Drive.
Thomas Walser is charged with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession of non-tax-paid white liquor.
Vickie Walser is charged with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance.
Cody Walser is charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of a schedule VI substance, misdemeanor possession of hash and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials seized two marijuana plants that weighed 393 grams, two grams of hash and three containers of non-tax-paid white liquor from their house.
– Henry Womble and Justin Womble, both of 214 Chinquapin Lane, Mount Ulla.
Henry Womble is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana), maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Justin Womble is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities seized six marijuana plants weighing 461 grams and two rifles from their house.
– Jason Glenn Locklear, 4540 Longs Ferry Road, charged with manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana).
Authorities seized one marijuana plant weighing 406 grams from Locklear’s house.
– Donna Childers and David Childers, both of 7925 Stokes Ferry Road.
Both face charges of manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana), trafficking in marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities seized 31 plants that weighed 17.5 pounds from their house.
