Three Rowan County teams win second round playoff games

The three Rowan County high school football teams in the state playoffs all won second round games on Friday night.
North Rowan (9-3), the No. 4 seed in the 1AA, was the only team at home. North fell behind Princeton, 14-0, but rallied to win, 26-14. The Cavaliers will travel to No. 1 seed Tarboro next week.
Salisbury (11-2) traveled to Washington, N.C., and dominated the home-standing Pam Pack, 32-12. The Hornets built a 32-0 halftime lead, and basically, coasted in the second half. Next week, Salisbury, the No. 7 seed, will head east again to battle No. 6 Hertford.
In Boiling Springs, N.C., West Rowan (9-4) upset the 3A’s No. 1 seeded Crest Chargers, 35-30. The Falcons, No. 9 seed, will travel to Charlotte Catholic, a 34-20 winner over Hunter Huss.
