SALISBURY — The Salisbury Elks Lodge 699 will have its annual memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday upstairs in the lodge meeting room on South Main Street.
Since 1901, this brief service has been held on the first Sunday of December to honor brother and sister Elks who have passed away.
This year, the lodge will celebrate the lives of four members who passed away in the past year, including Dr. Bruce Ketner, a 56-year-member; Kim Trexler, a 14-year member; Betty Nail, 13 years; and Daniel Tuttle, 20 years.
The speaker will be Harry Agner, past district deputy to the grand exalted ruler. Refreshments will follow.
The service is open to the public.
