Lee Street Theatre’s upcoming spotlight production will certainly be seasonal — but not what you might expect! “The Eight Reindeer Monologues,” written by Jeff Goode, is all about Santa, but the audience never sees him.
“The Eight” most famous and known reindeer dish about the real Santa. All those rumors you’ve heard about him and the elves? About Rudolph’s little secret? About Vixen’s story that was leaked to the press? All true.
Yes, the reindeer finally speak up and, believe us, they do not hold back! Each of Santa’s reindeer tells you their side of the rumors and their perception of Santa’s “bad habits.” The rumors and opinions about Santa may shock you about the “Jolly Old Elf!”
This dark, humorous comedy includes the talents of many Lee Street and area favorites like Marnie Nicholson, Hoke Pittman, Denise McKercher, Allison Proba, Charles Karvon, Robin Rogers, Chris Eller and Alice Rich.
The production is directed by Lee Street Executive Director Rod Oden, with stage management by Skyler Sanders and light board/assistant stage management by Matt Spry.
Please note: while this is a “seasonal” production, it does contain adult and profane language and themes, and it is recommended for audiences 21 and over. While you’re laughing or gasping — or somewhere in between — you’ll enjoy this “adult” take on our favorite elf. And, yes, this is a “holiday” experience specifically for adults!
