Livingstone women smash Morris, 90-66

SALISBURY — Senior guards Daisa Harris and Darra Walker combined for 46 points as Livingstone trounced Morris, 90-66, in college women’s basketball action here Tuesday evening at New Trent Gym.
The Blue Bears move to 2-3 overall, while Morris falls to 0-10.
Walker made 7-of-19 shots from the floor, including six 3-pointers, to lead Livingstone with 25 points. She was also 5-of-5 from the foul line.
Harris made 9-of-18 shots from the floor, and scored 21 points.
Another guard, Adel Allen, scored nine points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out seven assists. Daijah Turner made 6-of-11 shots and 6-of-7 free throws, scoring 18 point.
Georgia Campbell, the Blue Bears’ 6-3 post player, had 10 points and eight rebounds.
The victory was never really in doubt, as Livingstone outscored Morris in the first quarter, 30-9. The Blue Bears led at halftime, 54-34.
Tatyana Weldon paced Morris with 13 points. Mirakle Johnson had a double-double for the Hornets, scoring 11 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
Livingstone returns to action on Thursday, hosting CIAA foe Virginia State at 5:30 p.m.
