Police investigate GPS theft

A Salisbury woman sustained minor bruises trying to stop a man from stealing the GPS unit from her car.
And Salisbury Police nabbed the culprit with the GPS in his hands a short distance away.
According to police reports, Sabrina Annette Pinkston Curzi was at a restaurant Sunday around noon.
When she came out, she saw a man in her 2000 Saturn removing the GPS unit. In her attempt to stop him, she was thrown against her car, bruising her left forearm.
Curzi called police, providing a detailed description of the man who had run off with the GPS.
Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said officers responding to the call spotted the suspect in the parking lot of Bojangles at 1939 West Jake Alexander Blvd.
Arrington Javon Turner, 23, was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle.
The GPS was returned to Curzi.
