City recognizes retirees, employees reaching milestones

Salisbury City Council recently recognized employees who have reached their five-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 30- and 35-year anniversaries with the city.
Council also presented gifts to six retirees, including James Barber and Jerry Greene, both of the Police Department; Gareth Overcash and Joey Smith, both of the Street Division; Kenny Payne of the Fire Department and James Wise of Residuals Management.
Here are the others recognized for their years of service:
– 35 years ó Myron Michael, Traffic Operations; Dewey Peck, Purchasing.
– 30 years ó James Geter, Fire Department.
– 25 years ó Timothy Arey and Leon Smith, both of the Street Division; Alan Armour and Mark Shue, both of the Police Department; James Frick, Utilities Management; and Michael Morgan, Traffic Operations.
– 20 years ó Rebecca Albrecht and Michael Crowell, both of Information Technologies; Daphne Beck, landscaping, Hurley Park; Dennis Bowersox, Water Resources; William Elliot, Fire Department; Jerry Kepley, Plants Maintenance; Dan Mikkelson, Engineering; Linn Russell, Police Department.
– 15 years ó Joel Baker, Fire Department; Ann Cooper, Mark Hunter and Wiley Lamm, all of the Police Department; Robert Holmes, Water-sewer Maintenance and Construction; Karen Ingram, Human Resources; Brian Moore, Waste Management Division; and James Woods, Street Division.
– 10 years ó Clara Bost, Wade Furches and Cynthia Gilmore, all of finance; Anthony Dito, Waste Management Division; Joseph Miller, Police Department; John Garrison, Kevin Rainey and Alson Siler, all of Waste Water Treatment; Hubert Goodman and Rufus Smith, both of Transit Operations; Guy McGuire, Facilities Management; Jeffrey Parker, Water Resources; and Jack Wilson, Street Division.
