Regarding the article published Thursday titled “Henderson Independent High School students talk careers”: As a high school senior at Jesse C. Carson, I have seen many students who have stated they will not pursue a higher education due to the cost, uncertainty of study or the fact that they want quick income.

I am a believer that college is not for everyone. Therefore, we are left with technical careers. What I would like to see happen is that the board of education and also the county work out more programs that would help our students achieve a well-paying job.

What if one day our county added some focus on technical careers such as CTE?
