Letter: Help entire system instead of single parts

I agree with the letter published Thursday “Don’t throw money at system that isn’t working,” but I believe the author should list or give some ideas of how we can improve our system and the parts we need to improve on.
If giving the needed parts, money, is a solution, then how can educators who still get paid the same bring home a couple more dollars when their side of the system doesn’t need any improvements.
Paying one part of the system only isn’t a fair deal, which might cause some educators to leave and cause for more teacher job openings locally.
What if people help out an entire system and let the system know how it can use that money in each part instead of isolating sections of the system and only helping them out?
