KANNAPOLIS ó Police are looking for a man who robbed the Rushco convenience store at the corner of Lane Street and North Cannon Boulevard.
A man entered the store Sunday night shortly before 11 p.m., displayed a small black handgun and ordered the clerk to give him money.
According to a police report, the man left on foot, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is described as a white man, 45 to 55 years old, with a medium build and a mustache.
He was wearing jeans, a long-sleeved shirt and a black sweater with a light-blue hood pulled over his face.

Police are also investigating several other incidents. These include:
– Police spoiled an after-hours shopping spree at Compare Foods, 295 E. 22nd St.
Officers initially responded to an alarm at the business off North Cannon Boulevard around 10:30 Sunday night. They found nothing.
A few minutes later, they responded to a second alarm and found the front doors of the grocery store open.
Police searched the building but found no one. They did find a plastic grocery bag containing cash and cigars near the back door.
A surveillance video showed a black man with a hood pulled over his head going through the store.
– Police are also investigating three home break-ins that occurred over the past few days.
A flat-screen TV valued at $1,364 was taken from the home of Lavanna R. Kennedy at 409 Goldston St. on April 16.
A break-in at the home of Latoya Annette Collins, at 907 W. C St., netted $1,680 in cash, computer hardware and software and a .380-caliber handgun. Police said the door was forced open.
And a thief went through an unlocked window at 120 Franklin Ave., taking jewelry, an Xbox video game system and computer software valued at a total of $3,300. The theft occurred at the home of Garay Jesus Garcia between midnight Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday.
– A single shot was fired through the window of Razmataz Tattoos at 670 N. Cannon Blvd. Monday around 10:30 p.m.
The store was closed, and the business owner was near the back door preparing to leave. Police said the owner heard a loud cracking noise and returned to the front to see the broken glass.
– Police charged Shawn William Johnson, 24, with misdemeanor child neglect of his 3-year-old child.
A maintenance worker at the apartment complex at the corner of North Cannon Boulevard and Jackson Street reported seeing the child wandering around without any supervision.
