KANNAPOLIS ó Police are looking for a man who robbed the Rushco convenience store at the corner of Lane Street and North Cannon Boulevard.
A man entered the store Sunday night shortly before 11 p.m., displayed a small black handgun and ordered the clerk to give him money.
According to the police report, the man left on foot, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is described as a white man, 45- to 55-years-old, medium build with a mustache.
He was wearing jeans, a long-sleeved shirt and a black sweater with light blue hood pulled over his face.

Police are also investigating several other incidents. These include:
– Police spoiled an after-hours shopping spree at Compare Foods at 295 E. 22nd St.
Officers initially responded to an alarm at the business off North Cannon Boulevard around 10:30 Sunday night. They found nothing.
A few minutes later, they responded to a second alarm and found the front doors of the grocery store open.
Police searched the building but found no one. They did find a plastic grocery bag near the back door which contained cash and cigars.
A store video showed a black man with a hood pulled over his head going through the store.
– Police are also investigation three home break-ins that occurred over the past few days.
A flat-screen TV valued at $1,364 was taken from the home of Lavanna R.Kennedy at 409 Goldston St. on April 16.
A break-in at the home of Latoya Annette Collins, at 907 W. C St., netted $1,680 in cash, computer hardware and software and a .380 caliber handgun. Police said the door was forced open.
And a thief went through an unlocked window at 120 Franklin Ave., taking jewelry, an X-box and other computer software valued a total of $3,300. The theft occured at the home of Garay Jesus Garcia between midnight Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday.
– A single shot was fired through the window of Razmataz Tattoos at 670 N. Cannon Blvd. Monday around 10:30 p.m.
The store was closed, and the business owner was near the back door preparing to leave. Police said the owner heard a loud cracking noise and returned to the front to see the broken glass.
– Police charged Shawn William Johnson, 24, with misdemeanor child neglect of his 3-year-old child.
A maintenance worker at the apartment complex at the corner of North Cannon Boulevard and Jackson Street reported seeking the child wandering around without any supervision.
