I am a student at East Rowan High School. I am doing a project for my genocide and peace studies class.

We’ve chosen this project by focusing on getting the public to recognize the slaughtering of Native Americans as a genocide. I am wanting to spread awareness of this issue because not many realize the slaughter that happened in the name of “spreading civilization.”

I would like for the U.S. government to recognize the murder of the Native American people as a genocide.
