Rowan weather: Beautiful day

This week’s weather will run the gamut from warm and sunny to rainy to cold.

Today will be partly sunny, with a high of 61. South southwest winds will be at 5-8 mph.

Tonight, we have a 70 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1 a.m., along with patchy fog. It will be cloudy and 54, with south wind at 5-9 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

The chance of rain Tuesday is 100 percent, with thunderstorms possible before noon. Patchy fog will linger until about 1 p.m. The high will be 63, with south southwest wind at 11-14 mph shifting to the north northwest in the afternoon and gusting up to 26 mph. A half to three quarters of an inch of rain is possible.

Tuesday night will have just a 20 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m. Clouds will clear, with a low of 31. North wind will be 6-11 mph, gusting to 18 mph.

The sun returns Wednesday, but it will be cold, with a high of 47 and west northwest wind at 5-10 mph. The low will be 24, with clear skies.

Thursday will be sunny and 45, with a mostly clear night and a low of 26.

Friday will be partly sunny and 49. The low will be 30, with mostly clear skies.

The last weekend before Christmas looks chilly, but rain-free.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 48, with a mostly cloudy night and a low of 32.
