The Kannapolis Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of Walgreen’s April 13 at 1310 S. Cannon Blvd.
During the early morning hours of April 13, a white male suspect jumped the counter of the Walgreen’s Pharmacy, displayed a knife and demanded Oxycontin. The employees complied and the suspect left the store without further incident.
Witnesses described the assailant as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and white tennis shoes. He left the business through the front door. The direction of travel after his departure is unknown.
