Blotter: Rowan sex offender charged with failing to notify of address change

SALISBURY — A Rowan County sex offender was charged this week with failing to notify the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office within three days of his change of address.
Joseph David Ridley, 67, was charged on Wednesday with the felony offense and remains in the Rowan County jail under a $30,000 secured bond. He also faces misdemeanor communicating threats and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

• A man reported on Wednesday he was the victim of computer fraud in the 3100 block of Sides Road, Rockwell.
• A man reported on Wednesday he the victim of a burglary in the 600 block of West Ridge Road.
• A man reported on Wednesday he was the victim of misdemeanor assault on a female in the 1300 block of Julius Drive.
• Jackie Marion Davis, 40, was charged on Wednesday with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury while at the Rowan courthouse.
• Carmen Diamant, 35, was charged on Wednesday with felony larceny of chose in action while at the Rowan Magistrate’s Office.
• Jesse Allen Redding, 22, was charged on Wednesday with felony common law robbery.

• Circle K/76 Station reported on Tuesday a man came into the store, gave the cashier a credit card and license to fill up the tank after filling up he drove off without paying.
• A woman reported on Tuesday someone wrote on a vehicle with a blue marker in the 1500 block of Parkview Circle.
• A woman reported on Tuesday she was the victim of being hit by a rock in the 200 block of East 11th Street.
• A woman reported on Wednesday she was the victim of a burglary in the 1400 block of Faith Road.

• Aiden Whitley, 25, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI while in the 800 block of East Innes and South Arlington streets.
• Isaiah Thomas Little, 22, was charged on Tuesday with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance Schedule II while in the 1000 block of West Fisher and Lloyd streets.
• Antonio Jamel Rankin, 37, was charged on Tuesday with felony possession of a controlled substance Schedule II while in the 500 block of East Innes Street.
