Education: Poll named to Pfeiffer enrollment management and marketing position

Michael Poll has been named vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Pfeiffer University.
Prior to Pfeiffer, Poll mostly recently served as vice president for enrollment at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. He officially assumed his new post on May 4.
As vice president for enrollment management and marketing, Poll will be responsible for developing enrollment management strategies and recruitment plans for undergraduate, graduate and adult professional programs to increase enrollment in all areas, and provide guidance on marketing strategies to meet and exceed these goals.
Poll’s duties also include providing direction for organization and effectiveness of the enrollment management team, including recruiting, financial aid and registration.
As vice president for enrollment management and marketing, Poll will lead the development of strategies for student retention, student orientation and the admissions process, as well as provide oversight of budgets associated with these areas. He will report to Dr. Tracy Espy, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Poll began his career as an admissions counselor at Menlo College in Atherton, Calif., and eventually led recruitment efforts at Mesa State College, Colorado; Curry College, Massachusetts; and Belmont Abbey College.
A graduate of Menlo College, Poll earned a bachelor’s degree business in management and a master’s degree in educational administration from San Jose State University in California.
