Kannapolis launches new city Web site
KANNAPOLIS ó The city of Kannapolis has launched a newly designed and engineered Web site.
The new site, www.cityofkannapolis.com, includes new sections called City Services, Frequently Asked Questions and Forms and Documents.
These sections allow residents or businesses to view commonly requested items and tasks, see all documents and ordinances associated with those tasks and review frequently asked questions. Under City Services, users can fill out a Web form for more information or initiate a service request.
In the next few months, the site will also feature online bill paying for water-and-sewer customers.
“The Web is probably the most important tool in any marketing and communications program,” said Kannapolis Communications Director Karen Whichard. “By rebuilding the Kannapolis site, we have created a more sophisticated Web presence for the city which will not only help citizens find the information they need but also provide a more solid foundation for economic development recruitment efforts.”
Additionally, the new site features a new calendar of events and improved navigation. The site was built and designed by the city’s marketing and communications partner, Walker Marketing.
