An Animal Freedom Train will make a stop at the Rowan County Airport Sunday morning.
An animal rescue plane carrying dogs from overcrowded shelters to other parts of the country where qualified families are waiting to adopt them will make the stop to bring public awareness to the plight of unwanted dogs and cats.
People interested in attending need to be at the airport between 9 and 9:15 a.m. The flight will take off at 10.
Animal Rescue Flights (ARF) works with recognized rescues, veterinarians and service training facilities to transport animals. There is never a fee of any kind, either to the sender or the receiver of an animal flying with Animal Rescue Flights.
