A Salisbury man is charged with trying to rob a clerk at Sonic Drive-in late Tuesday night.
The Salisbury Police charged Darryl Lee Atwell, 38, of 3225 W. Innes St., with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked.
The incident occurred at the restaurant around 10:30 p.m.
The man came through the line to place an order and when he got to the window he demanded money. The clerk closed the window and got her employees out of the building.
Police set up a roadblock and caught him a short time later. He had no weapon.
