KANNAPOLIS ó Police are investigating a traffic death that occurred early Tuesday morning.
A Concord teenager died when his truck ran off the road and struck a tree. The crash happened in the 2200 block of Trinity Church Road at 1:51 a.m.
Samuel Augustus Bradshaw, 18, of 671 Sportsman Drive, was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup north on Trinity Church Road.
The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a large tree. The damage caused by the impact was substantial, contributing to the death of the driver, a statement said.
Alcohol was not a factor, said Capt. Pat Patty of the Kannapolis Police Department.
