Rowan weather: Dense fog this morning

Rowan County is under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m., and it is pretty thick out there. Be cautious when driving as visibility is less than a quarter mile.
Today will be mostly cloudy and 65, with calm wind. We’ll have a 30 percent chance of rain between 11 a.m and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers after 3.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy and 53, with patchy fog possible after 10 p.m. There will be a 20 percent chance of showers before 2 a.m. Winds will be calm, then south southwest around 5 mph after midnight.
Expect patchy fog tomorrow morning, too. Thursday will be mostly sunny and 60, with northwest wind at 7-13 mph, gusting as high as 22 mph.
Thursday night will be partly cloudy and cold, with a low of 30 and north northwest wind at 5-7 mph.
Friday will be mostly sunny and chilly, with a high of just 47. Winds will be northeast around 5 mph. The low will be 31, with mostly cloudy skies. There will be a 40 percent chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers.
Saturday could start with rain and snow showers, mainly before 10 a.m., then rain showers. The chance of rain will be 80 percent.
Saturday night’s chance of showers will be 60 percent, with a low of 37 and mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and 51. The low will be 26, with partly cloudy skies.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be mostly sunny but cold, with a high of 42. The low will be 22, with clear skies.
Tuesday will be sunny, but colder, with a high of just 39.
