The high-profile general of Iran, Qassem Soleimani, has been a recognized terrorist for decades. He should have been eliminated years ago.

Finally, the Trump administration did it.

This should be cause for celebration. Strangely, it’s not.

If this happened under the previous president’s tenure, Barack Obama would be in line for the medal of honor. Because President Donald Trump did it, questions arise. General Soleimani has been killing Americans as well as others for years. He’s a proven, murderous monster. Finally, we had the intelligence to pinpoint him and acted accordingly.

It’s said we took action because he posed an imminent threat to various U.S. embassies. Maybe, but I don’t care if this guy was picking his kids up after school.

He’s just a soldier who got caught in the open and paid the ultimate price. He had enough blood on his hands to fill the Persian Gulf. I’m glad he’s gone.

I find it interesting that people feel his death was an assassination. International law states it’s illegal for one country to kill the leader of another. That might be the point. Let’s make Trump guilty of some war crime. I’m sure the left will be quick to add that to the crimeless articles of impeachment.

This obsessive hatred for Trump obscures the good things he has done. Energy independence is one of them. Can you imagine the price of oil on the stock market if we still depended on this unstable regime for anything? Does the oil embargo of the 1970s ring a bell?

The presidential election is less than a year away. Vote him out. Don’t impeach him out, unless of course you fear what Al Green from Texas said: that we need to impeach Trump now so he can’t get re-elected later. After all, we wouldn’t want the American people to speak.
