Rowan weather: Clouds today, rain tonight and Friday

The weekend ahead looks good, but we’ll have to get through lots of rain, starting tonight and continuing through Friday.
Today will be mostly cloudy and 47 with calm wind. Tonight will be cloudy and 34, with light northeast wind. A 60 percent chance of rain is possible after 5 a.m. Patchy fog is likely after 3 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Friday is a different story. The chance of rain will be 100 percent, with a half inch to an inch of rain possible. Rain is likely before 7 a.m., then showers between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., then a chance of thunderstorms. Patchy fog before 2 p.m. The high will be 53, with east northeast wind at 5-9 mph shifting to the southeast in the afternoon and gusting as high of 22 mph.
Friday night’s chance of rain and thunderstorms will be 70 percent, with showers and storms before 1 a.m., then showers between 1 and 4 a.m. The low will be 37, with south southwest wind at 5-7 mph shifting to the west southwest after midnight. Another half to three-quarters of an inch is possible.
We get a break Saturday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 52. The wind will stick around, though, from the west at 5-10 mph and gusting as high as 21 mph. Saturday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 30.
Sunday will be sunny and 50, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 31.
Monday will be mostly sunny and 52. The low will be 31, with partly cloudy skies.
Tuesday will be sunny and 53; the low will be 33.
