Blotter: Deputies charge man after shots fired

Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Rockwell home to shots fired. Upon arriving, deputies found Randall Scott Morton, 34, of 214 Broad St. to be apparently impaired.
Morton is charged with intoxicated and disruptive, communicating threats, assault by strangulation and three counts resist, delay obstruct a public officer.
Three deputies responded March 23 to the scene.

– Lesley Ann Green, 40, was charged March 20 with misdemeanor false report to police radio broadcasting system.
– Gregory Alphonzo Hyatt, 54, was charged March 20 with misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, 1636 W. Innes St.
– Justin Gray Safrit, 21, was charged March 21 with misdemeanor communicating threats.
– Jamie Cam Tucker, 22, was charged March 21 with misdemeanor simple assault, 8415 Old Concord Road.
– James Nicholas Rice, 19, was charged March 22 with misdemeanor injury to personal property, 2030 Organ Church Road, Rockwell.
– Jason Leonard Diliello, 29, was charged March 22 with misdemeanor assault on a female, 730 Hummingbird Lane.
– Dennis W. Hancock reported the March 23 theft of a laptop, 134 Cypress Lane.
– Kelli Beth Hudson reported March 23 someone broke out the window of her truck, 2005 W. N.C. 152, China Grove.
– Robert K. Moore reported a March 23 larceny of a motor boat, 2840 Leonard Road.
– Cassandra Harless Edwards, 43, was charged March 23 with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance schedule VI, 109 Eastbrook Circle.
– Bradley Franklin Kelley Sr., 38, was charged with misdemeanor intoxicated and disruptive, 130 McCleave Road, China Grove.
– Kacey Wayne Adams, 29, was charged March 23 with misdemeanor larceny.
– Amy Anne Varnadore, 21, was charged March 23 with misdemeanor using the telephone to threaten bodily harm, 3196 Cauble Road.
– Julie Risner Isbanioly, 41, was charged March 23 with school attendance law violation, 950 E. Ridge Road.
– An Erwin Middle School student was charged March 24 with two counts disorderly conduct, 170 St. Lukes Church Road.
– Nathan Lee Reynolds, 23, was charged March 24 with misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance schedule VI, at 2830 Airport Road, where half an ounce of marijuana was found in a plastic bag.
– N.C. Department of Transportation employees reported on March 24 a window broken on a backhoe.
– Thedore Griff Hodgson reported the March 24 larceny of medication, 335 Wiley Lane.
– John Andrew Messick reported on March 24 that sometime within the past few days someone removed power tools from the property, 248 Messick Farm Road, Woodleaf.
– Patricia Bostian Greene reported on March 24 a burglary at her home where jewelry was taken, 272 Tumbleweed Drive.
– Garrett Alexander Becker, 18, was charged with misdemeanor provisional licensee driving after consuming, 7211 Old Concord Road.
– Christopher O’Neil Rankin, 48, was charged March 24 with misdemeanor nonsupport family, 226 S. Oakhurst Drive.
