Published 12:00 am Tuesday, December 1, 2009
A Kindergarten Readiness Forum sponsored by Smart Start Rowan will be offered Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Join a panel of experts, including representatives from the Rowan-Salisbury School System, parents and early childhood educators to discuss kindergarten readiness. Learn how to prepare your child and yourself for a successful transition.
Some of the questions that will be answered:
– When can I register my child for kindergarten?
– What do I need to know about private schools?
– How can I help my child adjust socially?
– What do I need to know about meals?
– What can I do to help my child start off on the right foot?
– How do I make sure my child is receiving all the services he needs?
– What skills are important to kindergarten teachers?
– What is my child expected to know?
All parents and guardians of children preparing to enter kindergarten are invited to attend this free forum.
Kindergarten readiness kits will be provided by a donation from the Salisbury Altrusa Club and Smart Start.
The forum will be at 1839 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
Limited space is available for childcare! Please call Milena at 704-603-3370 to make a reservation.
