A Salisbury man who was accidentally run over by his girlfriend died Saturday, hospital officials say.
Terry Lee Bost, 30, of 402 Calhoun St., was taken to Carolinas Medical Center on Friday after he was hit by the car in which he was riding.
Bost’s girlfriend, Tonya Hennis, who also lives at 402 Calhoun St., was driving her 1996 Chevrolet Blazer in the 400 block of Calhoun Street when the incident happened.
Salisbury Police confirmed Monday that Bost’s death was apparently the result of a suicide.
Police said on Friday that Bost climbed out of the window on the passenger side and fell under the wheel.
The tire ran over his upper body.
“There was no foul play involved. He did jump out of a moving vehicle,” said Deputy Chief Steve Whitley.
