Thief steals lottery tickets, cigarettes from Concord store

CONCORD ó The Cruzin Mart Shell station at 7047 Poplar Tent Road in Concord was robbed early Tuesday.
The business’ alarm went off at 4:35 a.m. Officers learned 24 boxes of North Carolina lottery tickets and an undisclosed amount of cigarettes were stolen.
According to a Lottery Commission representative, state officials have blocked the stolen tickets from cash payments in their system.
Surveillance cameras captured a suspect vehicle ó a large, white utility truck designed with a flat steel bed. There was a single suspect captured by a surveillance camera, as well, jumping over the counter to remove some of the property. Damages to the storefront are estimated at nearly $5,000 dollars.
