Spohn earns Eagle Scout

Nevin Spohn, 16, will receive his Eagle Scout award today at First Baptist Church of Salisbury.
Scoutmaster Steve Miller of Troop 349, sponsored by Central United Methodist Church, Spencer, will make the presentation.
Spohn, son of Philip and Jill Spohn, is a junior at North Rowan High School. He has earned 34 merit badges and is troop guide. He earned the Order of the Arrow and God and Country awards.
His Eagle Scout project was the construction of a trail for canoe access at the Eagle Point Nature Preserve.
