Woodleaf man faces multiple drug charges

A Woodleaf man is being held in jail under $100,000 bond for multiple felony counts of drug offenses.
Darren Wayne Hefner, 40, 6245 Old U.S. 70, is charged with seven counts, including two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputy J.S. Duffell also charged Hefner with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute hydrocodone.
Hefner is scheduled to make his first appearance in Rowan County District Court on Monday.
