I would just like to commend Stephen Roberts for his “Mayor Pete has much in common with past winners” piece in Sunday’s newspaper.

It’s refreshing to read about Pete without there being a subtext of the author mentioning several times his sexuality.

I’m a millennial and I support gay rights 100%, but does it matter who he goes to bed with at night? Does it have any negative impact on people who think he would make a great president but “can’t get past the gay thing?” It shouldn’t.

It’s 2020 people. Live and let live.
