Food distribution Thursday at Civic Center

The Altrusa Club of Salisbury and Salisbury Parks and Recreation are sponsoring a food distribution Thursday at Salisbury Civic Center, 314 Martin Luther King Ave.
Organizers cannot make exceptions for those who feel they cannot stand in line on the day of the distribution. Those people may bring someone to stand in line for them. Please bring boxes or bags to carry the food out of the building.
Distribution will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or until all the food is gone. Food Stamp recipients should bring the letters they received.
All others who do not receive food stamps can come to the Civic Center because they may also be eligible to receive the free food. However, they must disclose their total gross monthly household income. The following are examples of the income guidelines: Family of one ó $1,127; two persons ó $1,517; four persons ó $2,297; six persons ó $3,077.
Available food items: Apricots, corn, flour, grapefruit juice, mixed fruit, orange juice, peanut butter, pears, pinto beans, pork, rice, vegetable oil and frozen hams.
In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations, organizers do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, sex or age.
