RALEIGH (AP) ó Attention North Carolina wildlife enthusiasts: Starting in July, there will be some changes to hunting, trapping and fishing regulations.
The stateís Wildlife Resources Commission said on Thursday they approved a slate of proposals affecting trout, bass and crappie fishing in inland waters.
Commissioners said other changes include an extension of the gun deer season for northwestern counties. They also extended the stateís muzzleloader deer season by a week.

The commission said the changes come after reviewing about 40,000 public comments over a yearlong process.
