Blotter: Woman charged with burning solid waste

Lazette Jeneene Ball, 52, was charged Monday with open burning of solid waste in the 2600 block of Lower Stone Church Road, in Rockwell.
Rockwell Rural Fire Department responded to a fire and found rubber tires, treated wood, glass and metal, along with added limbs at the residence. The fire set a nearby tree on fire.
Ball was issued a citation
The fire department and N.C. Forest Service told Ball manmade items can’t be burned.
In other Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:
• A woman reported Monday money stolen from a bank account through an online purchase in the 400 block of Persimmon Lane, in Salisbury.
• A man reported Monday a pistol was stolen from his residence in the 600 White Farm Road, in Salisbury. The pistol is valued at $531.
• Organ Lutheran Church reported Monday a larceny that happened between July 2018 and August 2019.
• Michael Joe Banks, 43, was charged Monday at Rowan County Magistrate’s Office with felony obtaining property by false pretense.
In Salisbury Police Department reports:
• Archibald Dortu Wah, 39, of Spencer, was charged with felony assault by strangulation Tuesday morning in the 800 block of S. Church St.
• Tiffany Atar Ruth, 29, was charged Monday with misdemeanor first-degree trespassing in the 900 block of E. Innes St.
