Casena Tyola Leazer is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
While at UNC, Leazer was involved with the UNC Gospel Choir, Minority Association for Pre-health Students, Carolina Pre-Med Association, General Alumni Association and Black Student Movement. She was a volunteer for the North Carolina Children’s Hospital and Kudzu Children’s Museum.
She is a 2004 honor graduate of Salisbury High School.
The daughter of John and Darlene Leazer of Salisbury, she plans to attend graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in clinical laboratory science.
