CONCORD ó An Amtrak passenger train fatally injured a person on the train tracks early Sunday morning.
Concord Police said the incident occurred around 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of Concord Parkway north at South Ridge Avenue.
Police said they had identified the victim who died at the scene; however, they declined to release any information about the victim.
Trains between Charlotte and Raleigh were backed up for more than an hour.
