High school basketball: Girls all-county team capsules

FIRST TEAM
Abigail Wilson, West, 5-11 Sr. — The UNC Asheville signee scored 681 points and averaged 26.2 per game, both school records for a single season. Rowan County Player of the year.
Anayia Fulson, Salisbury, 5-8 Sr. — Averaged 12.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists, while leading a young team to the regional final. Scored in double figures 25 times and averaged 17 points during the Central Carolina Conference Tournament and 2A state playoffs. Scored 1,381 career points.
Adalie Harrison, East, 5-1 Sr. — Point guard averaged 13.4 points, 3.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds,while leading a 20-6 team and surpassing 1,000 career points. She finished off many East wins at the foul line, shooting 76 percent from the stripe and making 93 free throws. Scored 22 in East’s biggest win of the season against West Rowan.
Kyla Bryant, Salisbury, 5-7 Fr. — Scored 13.0 points per game with a nice mix of drives and 3-pointers, while shooting almost 50 percent from the field. Scored a career-high 27 in the regional final against Newton-Conover. Scored in double figures 24 times and surpassed 400 points for the season. Second on the team in assists and steals.
Hannah Wilkerson, North, 5-8 Soph. — No. 2 scorer in the county with 15.9 points per game. She’s already scored 914 points in two seasons. She finished the season with a career-best, 34-point effort in a second-round playoff loss to Community School of Davidson. She had eight more games with 20-plus points.
Ellie Wilhelm, Carson, 5-6 Jr. — Averaged double figures with excellent shooting percentages — 52 percent on 2s, 37 percent on 3s and 81 percent from the foul line. Was at her best in big games — averaged 18.0 in the two wins against East Rowan and scored 23 in a two-OT game with West Rowan.
SECOND TEAM
Mary Spry, East, 6-0 Soph. — Averaged 11.8 points and 9.0 rebounds and was right up there with West’s Wilson as far as efficiency, shooting 54 percent from the field. Spry had 58 assists (tied for second on the team) and blocked 34 shots.
Bethany Rymer, South, 5-8 Soph. — Averaged 13.9 points, third in the county, and scored 20 or more seven times. Scored in double figures in nine straight games to end the season. Also led South in steals.
Carleigh Perry, Carson, 5-9 Jr. — Led 25-4 team in rebounding and had double-figure rebounds five times. Scored in double figures 11 times. Scored 13 in the playoff win against Asheville and led Cougars with 13 in the playoff loss to Enka.
Kamora Cannie, North, 5-4 Fr. — The transfer from South Meck was one of the county’s quickest players. She averaged 12.2 points and scored 20 or more five times. She piled up assists and steals and had many double-doubles.
Maci Cooper, Carson, 5-0, Sr. — Led a balanced Carson team with 10.8 points per game. Shot 38 percent on 3-pointers and 84 percent from the foul line. Scored in double figures 16 times.
Taylor Poole, West, 5-4 Sr. — Led the Falcons in assists and was second in scoring for a 20-6 team that won the Christmas tournament. Scored in double figures 14 times.
HONORABLE MENTION
Colbie Perry, Carson, 5-8 Jr. — Made 69 3-pointers and scored 10.2 points per game. Headed for 1,000 points as a senior.
Natavia Taborn, North, 5-2 Jr. — Averaged 10.4 points, with a high of 20 against Chatham Central in the Yadkin Valley Conference Tournament. She’s headed for 1,000 points as a senior.
Jamecia Huntley, Salisbury, 5-9 Fr. — Led a 29-2 team in rebounding and scored 8.5 points per game. Scored in double figures nine times, including the fourth-round playoff win against Forbush.
Rachel McCullough, Salisbury, 5-7 Soph. — Led the Hornets in 3-pointers and averaged 9.3 points, with 14 games in double figures.
Hannah Isley, Carson, 5-7 Soph. — Averaged 8.3 points and had two 21-point games. Led the Cougars with 15 points in the playoff win against Asheville.
Whitley Arnott, West, 6-1 Sr. — Averaged 9 rebounds. Scored 12 in the Christmas tournament win vs. Salisbury and 17 in the North Piedmont Conference Tournament championship game against Carson.
Leah Hinceman, East, 6-0 Fr. — Averaged 7.9 points and 4.4 rebounds. Scored in double figures 12 times.
Makiya McDaniel, North, 5-9 Jr. — Averaged 7.6 points and produced a lot of double-doubles for a 20-9 team.
Grace Eagle, East, 5-7 Sr. — Was good from 3-point range, averaged 8.4 points and scored in double figures nine times.
Cindy Connolly, West, 5-9 Sr. — No. 3 scorer for West Rowan and had two big games in the NPC tournament.
Madison McGuire, South, 5-6 Sr. — Led the Raiders in rebounds and assists.
