The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of Old Concord Road (State Road 1002) near Old Beatty Ford Road beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, until 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, weather permitting.
Motorists should take the following signed detour:
– Old Beatty Ford Road to Phaniels Church Road to Rogers Road back to Old Concord Road.
The closure is necessary for a cross line replacement.
NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert, travel at non-peak times and use alternate routes, when possible.
