Letter: Good things about outbreak
Published 12:00 am Sunday, April 5, 2020
Here are some good things about COVID-19:
• Trying to “catch people at home” is a thing of the past.
• You don’t have to dress up or even wear pants.
• You finally have time to eat grapefruit one section at a time.
• It’s the last call for pesky telemarketers.
• A new roll of toilet paper never felt so soft.
• “When you eat” does not really matter.
• Nobody misses you at church.
• You can finally use those leftovers in the freezer.
• Dogs and cats don’t seem to care.
• You think about where food comes from.
•Old people seem to make sense.
• Simple tasks are suddenly difficult.
• A small cough is a distress signal.
• “Party like there’s no tomorrow” has new meaning.
• Quiet hobbies have a special place.
• Potholes are not even noticeable.
• Home improvement fits into your schedule.
• Going out is classified as anti-government.
•The future is a lot closer.
•Tolerance is a learned attribute.
• Presentation is 90% for good-tasting food.
•You can still touch your cellphone.
• Heat, lights and water are God-given.
• Loving-kindness is still possible.
•Shopping is not so much a chore as it is a pleasure.
• Four-hour meetings are a thing of the past.
•Who ever thought they would miss work?
• The sky is much bluer and the stars are much brigther.
• Helping someone is so easy.
• We don’t have “to be somewhere.”
• Reading takes up a lot of time.
• The virus doesn’t stick to cold cash.
• There’s no excuse for not having time to sort your Tupperware lids.
• Your backyard was never so inviting.
• The Post, Hotwire and local restaurants’ carry out together with prayer and inspirational moments keep us going!
