Master plan unveiled for N.C. State Fairgrounds

RALEIGH (AP) ó North Carolinaís State Fairgrounds is getting a $121 million makeover.
Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler unveiled a master plan on Wednesday for 48 projects scheduled to be completed over the next 20 to 30 years. Proposed projects include new exposition space, new entrance gates and additional parking.
Troxler said the projects will cost an estimated $121 million. They plan to cover construction costs through the fairgroundsí own revenue.
The location hosts several events throughout the year. Among them is the State Fair, which attracted more than 765,000 people last year.
