On behalf of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People we would like to extend a special thank you to all the Rowan Salisbury School System’s K-12 and early childhood educators.
Thank you for continuing to put the welfare of our children and their education first, even during these tumultuous times.
Although our children are not physically in the classroom, we appreciate the virtual assignments as well as the different sites provided to assure our students continue to receive academic instruction.
We also would like to thank all who come out every morning and afternoon, during the weekdays to provide the children a well-balanced breakfast and lunch.
Again, our sincere thanks as you continue to serve the Rowan Salisbury community.

Editor’s note: Black is president of the Salisbury-Rowan NAACP and Gadson-Harris is the education chair.
