Food Lion has four stores within the Salisbury city limits and several more just a few miles away.

During the stay-at-home crisis, why not close one store and convert it into a pickup and delivery store, with no customers inside?

Wait times for pickup could likely be shortened. Food Lion could offer a service level that the other stores don’t. Safety for both its employees and customers would be enhanced.  That may become the busiest store in town.

Test this concept in Salisbury, Food Lion’s home town. It might offer a glimpse for a service in other cities with multiple stores.
