More on Kangaroo robbery

Police say a man already suspected of robbing two convenience stores tried to rob a third.
A man robbed the Country Cupboard, 2210 Statesville Blvd., and later robbed Rushco No. 4 at 1901 W. Innes St., Monday morning. A man with a similar description and method of operation attempted to rob Kangaroo Express, 2270 Statesville Blvd., at 3:20 p.m., Monday.
He went into the Kangaroo Express and demanded the clerk give him the money in the register.
The clerk told the man to leave. He left and returned later wearing different clothes and told the clerk he was kidding.
He bought $10 in gas and left in an older-model Nissan.
Police are looking for a black male, in his late 30s or 40s, with a slim build and bald head. In each of the robberies, he was wearing a sweatshirt or hoodie, black jogging pants with one leg rolled up and white tennis shoes. No weapon was displayed in the robberies.
