Letter: Were three phone calls worth it?

A missing 16-year -old teen is a serious situation, but was it worthy of waking up all of Rowan County at 1 a.m.?
While I do hope he is safe, did they really think the majority of us were up at that time and would have been on the lookout for this young man? Since we are in hibernation, he would have had to knock on my door for me to see him.
In addition to waking me up at 12:45 a.m., they called my house three separate times. I took a picture of my cellphone to document the calls. Was this really necessary? With all that’s going on in our county, was this the best decision that could have been made?
Whomever made this decision definitely needs a different job. Finally cut my phone off, hoping no family member had a true emergency and needed to reach me.
Rowan County, you must do a better job of this in the future.
