Katherine Generaux of Salisbury graduated magna cum laude on Dec. 20 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in education with B-K licensure.
Generaux, a chancellor’s and dean’s list student, is a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda, Kappa Delta Pi, Psi Chi and the National Scholars honor societies.
She graduated from Analy High School in 1969 and Santa Rosa Junior College in 1971. She is the daughter of Roy and Lena Generaux of Santa Rosa, Calif.
Married to Mitch Houck of Salisbury, her children are Philip Nevitt of Anchorage, Alaska, Virginia Gil of Mooresville and Victoria Fulbright of Clarksville, Tenn. She has three grandchildren.
Generaux is employed by Partners in Learning as a community inclusion specialist.
