Deal with leaders’ tantrums as you would with a child’s

As Obama (or Joe Biden) will be president for another two years, we the American people will have to put up with the mess called Obamacare, presidential assaults on the Constitution and race mongerers like the Sharpton adherents for a little while longer.

Soon, we’ll be able to solve these problems. Until then, let’s deal with these temper tantrums as we do when we face a spoiled 3-year-old: ignore them.

Obama, Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder, et al. are engaged in narcissistic behavior. Shunning is the most effective weapon those who are out of power can employ.

Make plans for the day when America will make the Obama administration, in the words of a famous clean-up company, “like it never even happened.” Power minus authority eventually falls. Rome fell. The Mongols fell. Hitler fell. So will Obama.

Read immigration law

Federal Immigration and Nationality Act 1952, Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii):

“Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.”

Section 274 describes felonies listed under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

• Assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

• Encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

• Knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

A true life-saver

On Nov. 23, there was a house fire on Leonard Road. The account in the Salisbury Post was not correct. (1) It was not an elderly couple living there, but a woman and her daughter who has cerebral palsy. (2) Taking nothing from the fire department, because they did a terrific job when they arrived; however, they did not secure the two women. The caregiver, Courtney Cathcart, spotted the fire and got her patient out and returned for the mother, putting them in her car out of the cold.

Although we are grateful to the fire department for their skills and caring, the family is especially thankful to Courtney for saving the life of our sister and niece. Thank you, Courtney.
