Blotter: Salisbury Police looking into shots fired incident

SALISBURY — Salisbury police are looking into a shooting incident Monday night where someone fired shots into an East Franklin Street home and vehicle.
Salisbury Police Detective Russ DeSantis said a woman reported someone fired gunshots into her home around 9:40 p.m. A Hyundai Elantra was fired upon. The driver, who a police officer caught up to traveling on North Clay Street, said a bullet struck the hood of his car.

• A man reported on Saturday someone stole firearms from his home in the 8100 block of Karriker Road, Kannapolis.
• A woman reported a break-in occurred in the 200 block of Random Drive.
• Kelly Renea Bates, 35, was charged on Friday with felony possession of a controlled substance schedule I while in the 900 block of Shue Road and Haven Trail, China Grove.
• Michael Steveson Hamilton, 43, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor larceny while at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
• Janae Latece Johnson, 32, was charged on Saturday with felony possession of ac controlled substance schedule I while in the 75000 block of southbound Interstate 85.
• A woman reported on Saturday she was the victim of physical assault while in the 500 block of Shady Rest Lane.
• Bryan McKinney Scercy, 27, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault while in the 500 block of Shady Rest Lane.
• Kacy Wayne Scercy, 24, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault while in the 500 block of Shady Rest Lane.
