Some people in our community will not be content until the statue is removed, but where do they put it to make all people happy?

There is no such place due to the difference of people having different beliefs and feelings. My first sight of “Fame” was from the back seat of my father’s car in 1962 on the way to the mountains. I didn’t see a Confederate statue but an angel that I thought was beautiful.

I asked my mother what town we were in. She replied Salisbury. I remember thinking this must be a good place to live.
