Letter: Bad cops don’t represent actions of all

I don’t think there’s been a country on earth that hasn’t enslaved its own people as well as others to serve its own purpose. It seems to be a human condition.
America is no exception to this, but the U.S. has worked long and hard to fix and atone for its transgressions.
There is not a soul I know that wasn’t totally sickened and repulsed by the death of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police. But these loser cops do not represent all other cops, let alone all of America. Yet, that is exactly want some people want you to believe.
Why? to say racism and brutality don’t exist is to be naive. But it is not the norm.
There’s more going on here than meets the eye. The pointless death of Mr. Floyd is being disrespected and hijacked. He’s being used as a means to an end. It’s more than just about racism and police brutality. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s making me uneasy.
In the meantime, we don’t have to build that wall on our southern border anymore. We just need to send people like Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and a couple of new anchors from CNN to various points of entry and tell the potential immigrants how lousy America is. I imagine they’ll turn around in a New York minute.
