J. Francis Holt and Almeader Stovall Holt celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 16, 2013. The Holts were married Nov. 16, 1963, in East Spencer by the Rev. John Gaston.
J. is a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Hoechst-Celanese after 28 years of service. Almeader retired from Rowan-Salisbury Schools after 30 years of service. They are active members of Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church.
The Holts have three children: Michael Holt of Salisbury, Frances Holt of Charlotte and Karen Holt of Los Angeles, CA.
An anniversary celebration is planned during the holidays with family and friends.
